Joy is an award-winning singer and songwriter. Her interest in Christian & Gospel music began at the age of 3 and when she experienced her first musical recording. By the age of 14, Joy’s musical career advanced and her interest grew in learning multiple styles of music including singing music in Spanish in the Tejano Music genre. Joy received her first music award nominations and award-winnings in 1997. Through the years, she earned awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and in songwriting. In 2000, is when Joy began expanding her musical audiences though out the southwest region of the United States. In 2006, she was a finalist for the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame Awards, and was the first time her music was eligible for GRAMMY® submission.
After becoming a mom, returning to college and co-founding a local business, Joy returned to the recording studio and began working on new music projects. It was then she realized something was different with her voice. A medical diagnosis in 2019 presented uncertainties if she would sing again and Joy relied on her faith like never before! In 2020, Joy began working on worship music both at church and in the recording studio. The gift God gave Joy was not just given to her once as a small child, but a second time as an adult.
